Self-Portrait
Not long ago, I was speaking with a friend while sporting my inexpensive white hat and he felt compelled to comment on how he thought I looked like Hank Hill. For those of you who aren’t versed in popular television culture, this character — to which my friend referred — is the star of an animated cartoon series.
Since this particular conversation, I’ve never seen myself in the same way when I catch a glimpse of myself in some mirrored projection while sporting my cheap white hat. Now, in a larger reflection of this relatively harmless interaction, I can say that impressions and the words describing these impressions hold powerful influence.
So while you move through this virtual exhibition of my work, I’ll ask that you refrain from commenting to others about the pieces you dislike and freely distribute all favorable opinions otherwise.
