Skateboarding is my step-son’s favorite pastime. I wanted a portrait of him holding his skateboard while standing in front of his personal wall of magazine clippings. (Large View)

I thought this small painting of my stepdaughter would be a special gift to my wife on Valentine’s Day. When I finished it, I mounted it in a round, ornate cameo frame.

This painting is of an image of Katrina by the Niagara River, on the day I married her mother. Her dress with the floral pattern blended with the foliage and her hat and stockings provided a colorful contrast.
