LONDON'S PROUD HERITAGE

Proud Heritage and MyselfI recently completed a relief sculpture commissioned by Dr. Gregg Alexander for his pediatrics office at The Madison County Hospital in London, Ohio. The hospital added a new wing where Dr. Alexander has built a state-of-the-art office for his practice. His office raises the standards for rural pediatrics care and incorporates the latest in healthcare technologies.

Dr. Alexander's original plan was hang the scuplture in his office, but decided to approach the hospital's administration about displaying it in the hallway of its new wing, opposite his office door. After viewing the work, the hospital kindly abliged the good doctor.
EXHIBITS

CAL Spring Exhibition

I've submitted a couple of paintings for the Chillicothe Art League Spring Exhibition (March 12 - April 20) at the Pump House Center for the Arts. The pieces are "Down Around the Bend" and "Pitcher, Fruit and Glass". Please stop in to view these and many fine examples of art by local artist. Many of these artists will be present at an opening reception planned for March 13th from 6pm-9pm.

Two Views • One Show

Once again I had the honor of exhibiting alongside my longtime friend John K. Victor. Our last show, Two Views • One Show was at the Pump House Center for the Arts in Chillicothe, Ohio. from April 28th to June 4th. There was a fantastic attendance for the opening reception.

John and I first exhibited together in July' 05 at Grinder's in Chillicothe. You can see examples of John's work on his website at johnkvictor.com.
PAINTING PAINT CREEK

John Victor and I spent a day painting on the banks of Paint Creek near Alum Cliffs. For my first of two paintings, I chose to turn my easel away from the creek and capture the trees and brush above the bank. The sun was having trouble finding room to shine through the the thick foliage. However, it did manage to illuminate the field and hills beyound the treeline.

Later, I turned my easel in another direction to capture the muddy creek water beyond the arching trees on the bank and nearer to the creek. Go here or click on the image below to see examples of these paintings.
